CMOS CLEAR
". . . A second way of resetting the CMOS contents is by pressing the
<Ins> key, then turning on the system power. Release the key when the
power comes on."

She boots!

And I'm now going to post a new thread having to do with -->CABLING,
since I totally messed it up before, and this time pray I can do it
RIGHT.

You should leave well enough alone. Reconnect the CD drives to the
Promise controller, either disable the primary IDE port via BIOS setup
or disconnect the ZIP drive to get it out of the picture, and proceed
to install the operating system.
