OLK5 Folder -- how to access?

C

cynthia baker

I opened an Excel file from an Outlook e-mail
attachment. I worked on it and did a "save as" but
neglected to check the path. It was saved to a folder
called OLK5, which is supposedly in the Temporary
Internet Folder, which is in the Local Settings Folder,
on my C drive.

I'm trying to retrieve the file but cannot find or access
this mystery OLK5 folder -- I've used search, explore,
etc. I know the folder exists because I can open up
another Excel attachment from Outlook and hit "save as"
and the OLK5 folder, as well as the file I want to
retrieve.

Help!!!

thanks --

file path

The file location of the folder usually is

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\OLK5

although beware, olk may end in a different number.

also, enable hidden folders:
start >> control panel >> folder options >> View >> Hidden files and folders >>show hidden files and folders

hope this helps
