When Outlook is set to use Word as it's editor, it uses "normal.dot" as it's
base template. Can this be changed? I'm not looking to change this
globally, but more specifically to have the option of using alternate Word
templates.
For instance, I have a Word template for inter office memorandums that I
would like to use as a basis for an email memorandum. In my mind, it seems I
could accomplish this if I could open the .DOT file in Word, and "save-as" an
Outlook form or stationary. However, I can't seem to do these.
If I start a new email message, and use "file" - "new" to open a new
template, it simply opens an alternate Word document and I lose the email
header.
