When I try to run Windows Media Player I get an error
message in DDE Server Window stating that "...
oledb32r.dll is not a valid Windows image. Please check
this against your installation diskette". Any
suggestions as to how to correct this? Can I extract a
fresh copy from the installation disk?

Open Windows Explorer and locate the copy of OLEDB32R.DLL in the Windows\System32\dllcache folder and copy it to the Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole DB folder

Thanks for your reply. I do not have have this folder.
When I search for this file, only one copy is found - in
the \program files\common files\system\ole db folder.

The Windows\System32\dllcache folder is a hidden folder. Either adjust your folder options, or just type

C:\Windows\System32\dllcache in the Explorer address bar.
