Old wallpaper backgroud

Cody

Hello friends, I have this strange problem on my windows 2000 pro desktop. I
used to have an old wallpaper for my desktop which I think I deleted, but
everytime I startup my machine or shutdown that old wall paper shows up as
the desktop background. Any ideas how to get rid of it.

Thanks for you help.

Try right-click on the desktop, selecting Properties, and now you should see your wallpaper in the little window. Press the Browse button and the dialog box will tell you where Windows is getting the image from. At least, it does for me.

Thanks Allen, but the problem is that wall paper isn't listed with the rest.

Ok, do a search over the registry for the name that appears in the dialog box.

Jerold, if this works, I'll shoot myself. I forgot all about that. Darn. Thanks.

I've ever heard that the solution is to set the desktop with no wallpaper if
you have one.And then to set the deskptop with the wallpaper which you want.
I'm no sure whether the solution works or not, please try it first.
