Old programs

I just installed XP over Windows 2000, and there are many programs that do
not show up under the new operating system. 1) How do I get these programs
to be accessible under XP, and 2) How do I delete those programs I no longer
need if they do not appear in Start/Control Panel/Add or Remove Programs
screen? I've tried starting some of the apps from the Start/Explore screen,
accessed by right-clicking the Start button, but haven't had much success.

Reinstall them. This often times then allows you to uninstall a program
you couldn't before.
