Help! I have a newly refurbished laptop with WIN 98 and WIN 2000 NT operating
systems on it and have recently installed WIN XP but have no idea how to
remove the partitions and old operating systems. The WIN XP is not an
upgrade, it is the full version. Really, I would like to just remove
everything from the computer and make a clean start as if it had never been
touched!! Can anyone give me some direction in lamens terms. Thanks

Boot with the Windows XP cd and after it loads the setup files it will
identify the partitions and ask you where you want to install it. At
that time you will be given the options to delete all the partitions and
create a new one and then format it. Just pay close attention and read
the information on the screen, it's pretty straightforward.
