Old MS software works with XP Home?

Please advise if IE5, MS Outlook 98 and MS Office 97 will
run correctly under XP Home edition.

IE 5 will not and cannot be installed on XP. Office 97 and Outlook 98
should run though you should be sure to have any updates for them.
 
Outlook and Office will work fine. Do not try installing IE5 though as XP
has IE6 tightly integrated into the shell. It is likely to bust things up
pretty good. Do you have a specific reason to need IE5? If so there might be
a work around so you can use IE6 instead.

No to IE5. Yes to Office 97 and Outlook 98.
