Old monitor set-up help

I have a Pentium 3 with Windows ME installed that I am trying to set up for a
family member. The system detects the monitor at start-up and automatically
installs it as a plug and play monitor. However, the graphics are terrible.
When checking the Display in Control Panel I noticed that it only recognises
16 bit colour and 800x600 resolution, with NO options to change it. The
monitor is an older style 17" Leo Optics brand, which doesn't appear in the
montor types. I'm no IT guru and don't know what to try next. Thanks in
advance of any help

Try to get a decent driver for the video card, what you describing isn't the
monitor problem but a video card problem.

Take a look to find the correct branding and type of the video card and
install the latest drivers for that.
