Original (all three copies). Thanks for the fun, troll. Why are trolls so
easy to troll? I guess it's the old bully mentality. You can dish it out,
but you just can't take it. I've really enjoyed playing with you, though.
Watching your apoplectic fits; making you childishly call me names while
you refer to me as a child. You're a class-A Usekook and a very silly
person. You've failed at life and now you've even failed at being a troll.

Oh wait, let me guess your brilliant retort:

Never ever could bullshit its way out of a wet paper bag.

Didn't see that one coming, did I? How about one of your classics like
"Wrong." That one all ways slays them.

Which author and field?
But since you don't provide any evidence for your point,
I leave it to do your own research.

What, specifically, do you want evidence of? Most of what kony and I have
written is opinion (that we have reason to doubt your claim).

Why don't you provide some evidence? A quote from the as-yet-unnamed author,
perhaps.

I'm amazed by what discussion my post about my RAM upgrade has generated.

Many thanks to everyone for all your help.

I've installed 2 x 128 MB 168 Pin DIMM RAM PC100 - which I got for £15
inc. delivery on EBay. I couldn't find 256 MB SIMM RAM even remotely as
cheap as the DIMM, without buying several modules from different EBayers.

For those that have been discussing the performance of Win 2000 on this
266 Mhz and now 256 MB RAM PC (but with caching for only 64 MB) I am
pleased to report a massive performance increase from when it had only 64
MB RAM, software, EG. IE, Firefox, WinAmp, now loads in just 2-3 seconds,
rather than 30-60 seconds (I kid not!). It is now very usable, to such an
extent that I'm going to install OpenOffice - :) - which was unthinkable
before.

Thanks again.

There's always a few children with nothing better
to do with their time except to behave like children.

There are always some who cant manage to grasp that it can
be viable to make cheap improvements to elderly systems when
you have already decided that a new motherboard with the new
memory and cpu isnt warranted because the machine has such
a specialised and minimally demanding use.
Many thanks to everyone for all your help.

Yeah, simms that big arent very good value.

Yeah, that's the difference you get between virtual
memory/the hard drive and even uncached ram.

Thanks for the washup, too rare in my opinion.
