Where does outlook store it's copies of mail that has been
read.
I had to reinstall my operating system (no format) and
would really like to get those e-mails back, some have
install keys for various programs that I need!
I found the folders for outlook express, but not for
outlook, I've looked in office, but don't see them.
I've set the view options to view all hidden files, and
not hiding any extensions..

The file will have a PST extension. Use Windows to search for file *.PST

All Outlook data (read mail, unread mail, Calendar entries, Contacts, Tasks,
etc.) is stored in a Personal Folders file whose extension is ".pst" and
which usually resides in the hidden folder
%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Thanks much, I found my e-mail, I had problems restoring
it to my current install, but did manage to import them.
Funny the last time I installed outlook, I didn't have
near the problems I ran into this time, not finding a
destination folder, having to install various services,
this must be due to upgrading to office 2000.
97 was easy compared to this...
