Old listings in Publish Web Browse button

When I go to Publish Web and use the browse button to locate the network
connection for one of my webs, there are 14 other paths listed. Some are
valid (like backups stored on another drive, but some of them look like
MRUs.

What is the procedure to get rid of them?

Try right-click and delete. MRUs are generally listed in drop downs and
require a registry edit to remove them. Paths listed in the dialogue
window are genuine shortcuts - internet addresses being in the Network
Places folder in My Computer (in Windows XP).
