FP2002 Publishing Issue

I

Irene

I created a website which is up and running fine, using FP2002 on my laptop
(XP Pro). I backed up the entire web file on an external hard drive and
accessed it on my desktop (same OS). I made some changes and when I went to
Publish it, there was an exclamation point next to all the files I was trying
to publish and each of them had the notation "conflict" next to them. I can
editg and publish fine from the laptop but not the desktop. I am getting rid
of the laptop and have to be able to publish from the desktop. It is a
business website. Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

When you change computer, or reinstall FrontPage or the FrontPage
extensions, then any website will require a full publish - either local
to remote or remote to local, to re-synchronise the extensions and meta
data in both webs. In your case, Publish all pages from your PC to the
remote server to synchronise the webs and thus remove the conflicts. If
there are any databases or results files involved mark these as Do not
Publish to avoid overwriting the server versions.
