old hard disk data recavery

my old commputer has damaged i throu it a way and get new one i add the hard
disk to the new one but i cant open the folders in decuments and settings
folder and i have important data at my decuments folder the messege i got is
accsses denied if it helps i know my username and password for the old
harddisk
