old "find" function gone from "tools" Help:(

Using the "Search" function accessable from the start
button seems to be the only way to search for a file using
a filename (or fragment) or text withing the file. This
process is so cumbersome and so time-consuming its hardly
useable. My old Win 98 had a "find" fuction in the "tools"
tab that by defaulted restricted the search to the current
directory, mening files were swiftly located. In win 2000
there is no "find" to be found in "tools."

Can it be that this awkward "Search" funtion on Win 2000
professional the ONLY way to locate files? Yes, I have
used "advanced search" but that's little help.

The "Find" function in Win 98 was in the "tools" category
and now is gone. I have hundreds of files and now I can't
locate the ones I need. HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLP!!

I felt the same way until I found that they simply moved it.
Right click on the folder that you want to search in and
by default the search option will come up with that folder
as the base address to search from.
