old e mails keep comming back in duplicate

I cleaned out all my inbox I had 30 E mails. I shut down my computer and a
few hours later I checked my e mail and now had 60 in my IN box. all the
old messages came back in duplicate. How can i resolve this ?

If you have an AV scanning your incomin/outgoing mail, turn it off.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

I have the same problem that started approximately April 17th.
