Old DNS entries appear, even after deleting them

Hugh

We recently switched over our entire network to DHCP.
Since the change, some computers cannot ping FDDN's unless
you run IPCONFIG /flushdns and then IPCONFIG /registerdns.

If we ping the DNS server, the old IP address of our DNS
server will show up. If I do a flushdns and a
registerdns, I then get the new IP address of the DNS
server.

We have cleared all old IP address entries out of the DNS
server, but every few days, the old IP for the DNS server
will reappear and replicate itself to the all other DNS
servers. We delete the entries again, and they will
reappear again. I would appreciate any help you can give
me! Thanks in advance. Hugh

Check your Scope options in DHCP to make sure that only the correct local
DNS address is given out with Option 006. If this is an AD Domain do NOT
give out your ISP's DNS to any machine.
