Old DC

Hi,

I have an old Domain controller that I took offline about
8 months ago. It was not taken offline properly. The
server still shows up in Sites and Services and in the
event viewer I am getting alot of KCC errors because the
other DC's are trying to communicate with it. It will not
let me delete it out of sites and services. The event ID
# is 1265 and the source is NTDS KCC. Any suggestions?

The 1265 error is to be expected when a DC is not removed from the
directory. The error indicates a replication link is not able to be created
from the server listed in the event.

Check this article out on how to remove the server from the directory.
