old broken notebook - temparature sensor problem (?)

Hello,

I would be very obliged if someone helped me with my old broken
notebook (Maxdata 995 alias Chicony MP995).

Seems like the processor temparature sensor problem - the cooler starts
for a while at the start up but later does not work even when the
processor gets hot (there is no voltage on the connector) - so finally
the notebook hangs.

Thanks in advance.

It's doubtful we can give any specific information... you
might look in the bios in case there's any applicable
setting but otherwise you're left reverse-engineering the
mainboard as much as possible to see if anything looks
damaged.

CPU voltage might be obtainable by onboard sensor reports
via bios or software, do you have this option and if so,
does it show a temp readout and does it seem correct?

It is an old notebook - no information about voltage or temparature in
BIOS, so I suppose, that there is no possibility to read the data by
any software.
