OL2K3 slow to open sub folders

A client workstation has Outlook 2003 (in Exchange 2007 environment). She
has MANY (maybe 30+) subfolders in her inbox.

If she selects a sub folder, she has to wait (about 20-30 secs) for the
folder to open. If she revisits the folder, sometimes the folder "seems"
cached and opens fast - invariably not.

We increased her RAM (Win XP-Pro) to 2gb without much difference in the
situation.

Other users don't have the same issue (others don't seem to have as many sub
folders).

There does not seem to be any references on the Internet about the problem.

We have recreated the Outlook profile without improvement.

There is a suggestion to replace her workstation with a new one (Cor Duo,
2gb RAM and Win XP Pro, but I am concerned that the replacement workstaion
may not fix her issue.

Please comment.

How many items are in the folder?
Do you have Cached Exchange Mode enabled?
Is it slow when you configure that mailbox on another computer?
Is it still slow when you open Outlook in Safe Mode?
Start->Run; outlook.exe /safe
