OL2003 won't save changes made to Outlook Today screen

I've been trying to customize the appearance of Outlook 2003's 'Today' screen
but it always reverts back to the "Winter" style whenever I switch to another
screen in Outlook such as the inbox or calendar.

I'm trying to switch to the single column view. I also noticed that there
is a placeholder (a red 'x' in a rectangle) in the top left corner of the
single column view where I assume some sort of graphic or icon should be.
Not sure what that's about either.

Additionally, is there any way to get more than 7 days to appear under the
Calendar section/header?

Have you tried changing it in the registry instead? See

I suspect it's the "Customize Outlook Today" button. Have you tried
resetting your Internet zones to their default settings on Internet
Explorer's Security tab?

If you read the web page I cited, you'll see a value for the CalDays key.
That key can be changed to a much larger value, although my experiements
show that it doesn't do anything above about 50.

Hello Brian,

Thank you for the tip - I'm truly pleased to finally have a today screen
that displays more than just the next 7 days' appointments. Unfortunately,
the today style still refuses to be changed permanently. I tried editing the
style(x) key in the registry to no avail. Is there anything else I might try?

Thanks again.

Two things to try: Help>Detect and Repair in any Office app or a new mail
profile.
