OL2003 SP2 (11.8010.6568) on XP SP2+ Exchange 2003,

Trying to remove a delegate via Tools>Options>Delegates, select then Remove
+ Apply. Get the message "The Delegates settings were not savbed correctly.
Unavle to activate send-on-behalf of list. You do not have sufficient
permissions to perform this opertation on this object".

Contact your admin to check security settings on your Active Directory
object.

All seems OK. I was able to delete one Delegate, but can't recall anything
different about its attributes.

Have your admin check who is set as a delegate in Active Directory Users and
Computers on your object. See if this matches with the list in Outlook.

I removed all of the Delegates there & that enabled me to remove all from my
profile. When I tried to put one back in the profile I got the error again
until I added that user back in to the object.

Still sounds like there has been tampered with the rights and permissions on
the AD object to me. Do other users experience this as well? If not try it
on a different computer and with a clean (mail) profile.

Delegates settings were not saved correctly

Sounds like: Microsoft KB article 913807
Error message when trying to add delegate access to a calendar:-

The Delegates settings were not saved correctly.
Unable to activate send-on-behalf-of list.
You do not have sufficient permission to perform this operation on this object.

In order to resolve this you need to give Write Personal Information permission to the SELF account on the user who is trying to add the delegate. To do this, follow these steps:-

Connect to your mail server.
Open Active Directory Users and Computers, and then click Advanced Features if it is not already selected on the View menu.
Expand your domain, and then locate the user’s Organisational Unit (OU).
In the right pane, right-click the user who is experiencing the delegate issue, and then click Properties.
Click the Security tab, locate the SELF account, and then click Write Personal Information .
Make sure the Write permissions check box is selected, and then click OK.
