OL2003: Read receipts - smarter processing possible?

Is there any way to selectively enable/disable the read receipts option?
Specifically, there are certain people to whom I want to send a read receipt
when opening their emails that request such a receipt, and there are others
to whom I do not want to send read receipts. AFAIK, OL2003 makes you act on
an incident-by-incident basis. Any ideas? TIA!

Outlook has two methods most people are aware of - send to everyone, or on a
per message basis. A third method is using after send rules - this works
well if you need them for the same group of people or based on subject etc.
