OL2003 copying pst file to new install

I copied the whole Outlook folder to a slave drive before reluctantly
reinstalling WinXP, then Office 2003. I thought I would be able to
simply install Office/Outlook, then replace the pst file with the old
copy. That isn't working though. OL seems to ignore the file. I've
tried opening the old file in OL, but OL creates a side view window
with nothing in it.

Any ideas as to how to get OL to accept the old pst file?

Thanks,
ATL

If you overwrote the pst its possibly now corrupted.
Ensure the old pst isnt read only, then open in OL

What do you mean by "a side view window"? Have you tried displaying the
folder list to see what folders the .pst file contains?
