OL "autocomplete" feature

I am using OL 2000 on Xp pro... OLExpress has an autocomplete feature, and I
know OL 2000 does not have an autocomplete feature, but in OL if I type the
first name of a contact and then click another field (ie. subject line)
outlook does to some effect complete the contact's name(to reflect the email
address)... So this looks to be some sort of autocomplete (or
"auto-recognize") feature... However, one of my co-workers who uses the same
version or OL , this sort of "feature" does not happen... Is there some
setting I can check to give his OL the same capability.

Versions of Outlook earlier than Outlook 2002 have no autocompletion
feature. They have a feature called auto-resolution. If you enter part of a
name or a nickname then tab out of the field (or hit Alt-K [Check Names]),
Outlook will attempt to resolve the name against your address book. If it
can't it'll red underline it and you can right click on the name to manually
resolve it. Outlook will save the resolution for future use.

it's autoresolution and you need to check his setting in tools, options,
email options button, advanced button. Is automatic name checking enabled?
if so, uncheck apply and recheck. If not, enabled it.
