OL 2002 Starting my High Speed connection

I have recently re-installed software on my new HD.

Now my High speed connection connects repeatedly without my consent at
regular intervals. 3 to 4 times then stops. What am I missing? I looked at
my e-mail settings, at Outlook Express, mailwasher and network connections.
Any ideas would be welcomed.
 
Since you didn't tell us what OS you have, or what kind of HS connection,
it's hard to help you. Do you have "on demand dialing" enabled
