OL 2000 Home user switching from Outlook Express to Outlook: Setup problems

C

CAli Tracy

I am currently running Outlook Express, and would like to
switch to Outlook.

When trying to run Outlook, I am asked for my Microsoft
Exchange Server. When I choose cancel, I receive these
messages:

Unable to open your default email folders. The
information store could not be opened.

Would you like to open your default file system folder
instead?

From there, I am taken to My Computer, inside Outlook.

I am at a loss to configure this program to work/Open.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Tracy

go to the control panel and open the mail applet. delete the profile and
make a new one using internet mail, not exchange services. once outlook
opens, go to tools, services, mail services and choose reconfigure mail
support.
