OK to delete email from Archive Folder?

Hello,

We are using Outlook XP. I no longer need some email that
has been archived from the main Inbox. Is it okay to
simply delete the email from the Archive Folder? Or should
I import the archived email back into the main Inbox
first, and then delete the unneeded email from the main
Inbox?
