I installed vista without a problem, with areo glass too, but when i go to
try and change the color of it or enable the glass. neither ok or cancel
work. and there are no preset tabs in it like i have seen in screenies.

im running a ATI Radeon 9200 familey pack
and a PIII 866 mhz
with 512 megs of ram

I am not sure about this but I think your Processor is a bit on the
slow side to run the full features in Vista. 800 is enough to run but
only just according to the minimum spec. Video Card and RAM look OK
though but as a whole I suspect if it can't display what you want it
won't let you do so and greys out the OK & Cancel tabs.

When I used onboard graphics (64Mb) on my test box most of the Aero
features were not available and appeared only after I stuck a decent
Video Card in, you could be having similar issues with your processor
limiting what Vista can offer.

1Gb is supposedly enough to run all of the Vista features but if you
have to upgrade go for a 2.6Gb AMD sempron or similar at least.
