I wonder why I don't get that same half dozen;
make-your-non-existing-thingie-tighter (I am male) each day ;-)

Interestingly, the spam has drastically decreased since I changed my
address. Before, I had been sent about half a dozen make-your-non-

I have a similar experience - especially, my In box is no longer
overloaded with those heavy MS patch fakes.
BTW: The junk filter of Mozilla 1.5 is a real progress as compared to OE.

I find this surprising. Are you sure you're not allowed to change the
"respond-to" address for your posts to USENET? With MS Outlook you can
change it to any arbitrary non-existent email address to foil
spammers.
I too have continued to be subjected to a torrent of SWEN virus
emails to the account I use for USENET postings. In my case I can't
change it because I post using Google's news posting service which
requires you to use a real email address.
This account has now become useless for email, to the extent that I
have to direct responders to an alternative addess for email as below.
