Offline Folders Sync Error

I have users who sync server files to their laptops. Recently, when they
create new folders on the server within a sync designated parent folder,
their syncs error out with a message stating the system is running with the
last known good configuration. Only these newly created folders error out.
What's happening here?

I would love to know also, I am having the exact same problem. Anyone
out there?
