Hi All
On a number of different laptops I enable the offline files feature and then
make a particular folder and all file and sub-folders available aswell. I can
log the user off and then back on and it works but when I shudown the laptop
then turn it back on. The enable check box is now unchecked. I have checked
the local GPO's (as the laptop is not attached to a domain) and I've even
tried enabling it in the registry for the computer and user. This still
doesnt work.
Is this a common problem? and is there a solution?

Please help..!!!!!!!!!

Hi XPUSER
I've had a look at that website and unfortuantly it doesnt resolve the
problem. the Tickbox still refuses to stay ticked even if it is forced to
using the local GPO or the regisrty entry.
Any further thoughts?

No, I am sorry, I do not have any expertise concerning this issue.
I just found that site through a Google search.
I hope someone will provide an answer for you, although I see
there have not been any further postings so far.

I assume you have ruled out any viruses / spywares.

You mention that this happens on a number of different laptops.
Does that mean that it happens to a number of different users,
or just one user that is using different laptops? I guess that sounds
like a stupid question. Sorry.

this problem is known and, AFAIK, unsolved. There is no reason to
fear a virus.
