Offline Files Access Denied

Hi,

I'm running Server 2003 on a domain with XP and a couple of W2K clients. I
get access denied errors when trying to sync a network folder. This has
happened on both a XP client and a W2K client. I have checked and rechecked
permissions and owner of files. Everything seems fine. This has happened
on the initial sync, so there is no offline files cache to clear.

The only way I have got this to work is by making the user a member of the
Domain Admins group. It works fine when I do that, but obviously, I don't
want to do that. It seems to me that it is a permission issue somewhere
since it works with admin rights. I just can't find the problem.

I have read a lot of posts with similar problems, but have not found a
solution.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Dan

usually this is caused by either 1. a running process using the files
2. its being protected by antivirus/firewall/antispyware program 3.
another user that is loged in is using that file

It won't sync any file. They are all showing access denied. But it works
if the user is a member of the domain admins group, which tells me the
antivirus wouldn't be the issue.

Any other thoughts?

Thanks
