Office Sounds 2003 and Outlook 2003?

I've used these for years and always worked flawlessly but now I have a new
Dell laptop running Win 7 64 HP and some of the sounds don't seem to work
correctly. For example the toolbar "X" used to delete used to "click" when
mouse clicked. The "undo redo" arrows made a sound when mouse clicked, but
now silent. How ever, if I delete a message using the "delete key" on the
keyboard, I get sound.....????

I do have the sound option turned on in the Office 2003 aps at Tools Options
General.

Appreciate any help.
 
Right click an empty spot on your Desktop and choose Personalize and there
click Sounds. Here you can map those actions to a sound you like.
