Office Home&Student Back compatability

I installed office 2007 home and student today. I copied all my Office 2000
files from another computer and loaded them onto the new one. Office 2007
opens Powerpoint o.k. but will not open Word or Excel. Any remedies please or
I will have to re-enter all my saved data by hand.

No reason why Word 2007 shouldn't be able to open Word 2000 files. But
"will not open" is a useless description of the problem. Specifically
what happens when you try to open a Word 2000 file in Word 2007? If you
get an error message, please quote it exactly and completely.
