I'm running Office 97 on my computer with WindowsXP home edition. I have
started having fits with the Office program not opening. I frequently get a
message that states that the file I'm trying to open can't be found on my C
drive. Has anyone else had this problem and have you found a way to fix it?

I have copies of Office 97 on every computer I own, some with later
versions, at least 1 by itself. I haven't had this problem on any of them.
There is probably a problem with a mismatched DLL. JET (the database engine
in Access) comes with the Windows operating system, as well. This may have
been caused by a hotfix or service pack. My suggestion is to uninstall
Office 97, reboot, then install Office 97 again.
