Office 2007 WordArt

What I can't understand is why the new and in my opinion, far superior
WordArt only come with PowerPoint & Excel, while the programs that would
really benefit from it, Word & Publisher still feature the old version? I
know I can cut & paste from Powerpoint or Excel but this shoudn't be
neccessary.
 
I understand why PowerPoint has this WordArt and Publisher does not. The
Publisher WordArt can be manipulated, ungrouped and used in interesting ways.
The new WordArt is bitmap based and pasting it into Publisher as a .wmf is a
disaster.
