When creating shapes or wordart, colours do not show only in print preview.
happening in Publisher and shading cells in Excel? help
 
I suspect there's a setting in your printer Properties to print in B&W or
grayscale.

Sadly no the printer is set correctly with no problems, shows correctly in
print preview but not in normal page layout or Print layout of the document,
no colour shows at all, fil colour or line colour!
 
Ah, okay, I had gotten the impression it was the other way around. In this
case, check the Accessibility Options settings in Control Panel. There's a
setting for High Contrast that can cause this.

Thankyou for the info, will try this out and see if it fixes the problem, but
now have to wait till it does it again :-( thank you for your tips. :-)
