Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3) has left my Excel menu >Edit>Links>Startup
Prompts inoperative. The functions of all three choices have no effect. Help
required.

Did you have a personal.xls file creating these links?

The location of the XLSTART directory which contains startup files may have
moved.

Look at C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OfficeXX for XLSTART and make sure
any startup files are in the corrrect directory.

Thanks Joel, but this is a problem with the excel menu (path as indicated).
Links can be in various workbooks. I normally use this option to disable the
'links alert'.

If htere are no links in the workbook then the menu item will be disabled.

The links exist. It's the options that do not work. No auto update only the
alert.
