Office 2003 - save settings - what does it save?

I am about to upgrade from Vista to Microsoft XP, which will mean a full
format.

I intend to use the "Save Office Settings" command so I can hopefully
restore my Office to how it was on Vista.

But does it really save EVERYTHING, including Outlook plugins etc?

If you are going to reformat the hard drive and install XP, I suggest backing
up all the documents and outlook data file to a external hard drive or flash
drive before you do that.

It saves your .pst file and your profile settings. It does not save any third party plugins.
