Office 2003 pivot table filter clear

I would like to know how in the hell does a person clear the filter items in a pivot table
If I set the Pivot data to less or no records the pivot filter items still brings back all the records that was previuosly loaded
If anyone can tell me how to do this I dub thee Lord of Excel
