Office 2003 & MSN Messenger Incompatability

R

Rich Johnson

I have Windows XP Home Edition and Office 2003. I also
subscribe to MSN and use MES messenger. Apparently there
is an incompatability between both Microsoft packages. I
can't get hep from either Microsoft or Dell. Microsoft
says since the software was purchased from Dell I should
contact them unless I agree to pay a fee. Dell says that
the problem is with MSN. Again Dell would help but only
if I paid a fee. My problem is when I click on a website
e-mail quicklink Outlook starts up instead of MSN
messenger. Outlook can't complete the e-mail because of
the software problem. Can anyone help??

A long shot, but which program is listed as the default mail program in
Control Panel | Internet Options | Programs tab?

Under Control Panel, Internet Options->Programs tab, what do you show as
choices for Mail?
