Office 2003 hangs frequently if i keep open for hour

outlook, word 2003 hangs frequently it shows me a blank white screen due to
that i am loosing my work please suggest me that right solution to
troubleshout

You might check your power settings on your computer; or perhaps you have a
bad screensaver program? Have you scanned for viruses or spyware?
