Office 2003 for Students and Teachers

I just installed Office 2003 for Students and Teachers. I can create new
documents but cannot open any previous Word or Excel document. Any
suggestions?? Thank you!
 
If you use Symantec/Norton AntiVirus, try disabling the Office Plugin
that comes with it (but do not disable Norton AutoProtect). See
