Office 2003 documents sent as read only

XP-Home, Office 2003, Outlook 2003

When I send any office document via email it is received read only. Anyway
to make it send the documents not as read only?

The recipient should save the attachment to the hard drive and it will be
writable. It is unwise to change an attachment without saving it to the
hard drive as a file.
