I just noticed the fine print on the Office Updates page suggesting Office
2002 is not included in the products supported. What's the deal?

Is Office 2002 the same as Office XP? My "About" page calls it 2002. I'm
reluctant to download anything, but I'm also concerned that I've got major
security holes in my software, Outlook especially. What should I do? I'm
running XP Professional, and I went back to Service Pack 1 until 2 settles
down some.

Try the office update newsgroup:

Tom I selected the office update newsgroup through the posting form on the
web, but apparently it screwed up and put the message in the wrong place.
I'll try again. Apologies in advance if this posts again here.

Tom, I just checked and my original question did post in the office update
forum. I don't know why it also posted here. Sorry.
