Office 2002 Outlook

When I am receiving emails, a few of them show up in my inbox for less than
one second, and then they disappear. They do not go to my anti-spam file or
to my deleted file or any other files. They are not in my outlook express
files (I used this program 2 years ago). I have ruled out my anti-spam
blocker as the cause. It does not appear to be my server as I can access
these emails from my webmail, but they disappear once I load them to my
computer - never to be seen again! Does anyone have any idea where they go?
What security settings would I change to prevent this from happening? I have
tried everything I can think of. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.

If you have your mail displaying the preview pane and have mail set to show
as read after a few seconds, and if you are filtering mail to show only
unread mail, this would explain the issue. Check View > Current View and make
sure Messages is the one ticked.

Please post back and let me know if this helped. Good luck.

Any add-ins like antivirus scanning your mail, Blackberry (or other PDA)
software, or desktop search add-ins?

I disabled my anti-virus software and it did not eliminate the problem. I
don't have any desktop search add-ins. I do have an iphone and the emails
will show up on it if I check my email with it first before opening it on my
computere. However, once I download all my email to my computer they
disappear very quickly.

Hi Kathleen

I did have the mail displaying the preview pane but switching this to
"messages" did not make any difference, the problem still occurred (I don't
think I have mail set to show as read after a few seconds but not sure how to
check this but changing the setting to messages should have helped anyways if
this was the case). I am not filtering the mail to show only unread. Do you
have any other ideas as to what the cause could be? Thanks

I belive iTunes is use to sync an iPhone and I have no experience with
either. Perhaps someone else will be able to suggest something.
