Office 2000 Upgrade from Works 2000 in Windows XP.

Hi there,
Have an issue where Office 2000 was purchased by buying MS
Works 2000 and an Office 2000 Upgrade CD.
Machine that this was installed on has been formatted -
ie. not in use any more.
New machine is Windows XP - have successfully installed MS
Works 2000 but when putting in the Office 2000 Upgrade CD
a message appears that a compatible product was not
available - select a drive - select C: drive where this is
installed - but error appears that Setup was terminated as
relevant product was not located.
Have re-booted since Works installed and have "activated"
products.
Any thoughts?
