Hi, I'm new to the world of burning files. I've noticed files
I burn to CD are being marked read-only. Is this the burning
software that does this, or the OS? It's annoying.
I'm using Nero burning software.

The burning software.

When you move them back to hard disk I recommend:
Clear Readonly makes it easy to clear the read-only flag on entire
folders and subfolders. It really annoying when you copy files from
CD-ROM and they are copied as read-only. Just right-click the folder
and choose 'Clear Read Only flag' from the Context Menu. ~1Kb on my
WinUtils page or HERE:

Enjoy!

its because once they are on the CD they are read only. its not because
the OS doesn't want to write to them - it cant. its like a write protected
floppy disk.
