Off line files

Dave Margetts

Several of my users have complained that 'Off-line files'
are a problem - as once you've set them up, the system -
for reasons unknown, periodically disconnects you from
the LAN servers and the only solution seems to be to log
off and back on the domain. Has anyone ever seen this ?

This is a known issue and MS has issued both a hotfix or a
workaround...

Take a look at
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;810907 which
describes the hotfix you can obtain from MS at no cost.

The other option is to disable SMB signing via Group Policy.
